At the side of the house, just outside the kitchen door is a verandah with views over the garden and port of Skala. The garden is laid out over two tiers and has been planted with rows of orange trees which produce fruit during the winter. There is a well which can be used to irrigate the orange trees. To complete the outdoor space, stone steps lead down to the street. The property is completely surrounded by stone walls and accessed by a gate.
